Wow, I just realized how long it's been since I posted anything. I really didn't think it had been so long. It was a long rough year last year. I tried to join a couple challenges but I would get sick again so I just gave up, even now I am just starting to get over a bronchitis pneumonia attack.
My oldest son gave me another grandson last March and they are due with a granddaughter this April. They named the little one after my younger son and let him spell it. I thought that was so sweet. His name is Nikolas, same as my Nickolas but without the "c". He is such a doll!! When I figure out how to download pictures from my new camera I'll be posting them.
My little man (Eli) has had a real rough year also. He is now epileptic on top of everything else. I feel so bad for him, he's such a happy little boy. I just love him to death, he's just so special. He still loves reading and he's a  whiz with technical things.  The poor little one stepped on some of his toys a few weeks ago and broke some toes so he's now got a full cast. It doesn't slow him down any, he flies all over the place.
I had two new additions to the family last spring. First came Pooky (short for Spooky) and then 3 weeks later her mother Java came. They don't look anything alike except for the eyes. Pooky must take after her father as she's a red short haired German Sheppard. Java is a dawn long haired German Sheppard. Pooky settled in a lot quicker than her mother. Java is a retired breeder who was in one of those awful breeding farms. My vet has fallen in love with her.
I'll try to post some cards soon, I am trying to get back into coloring again, lol. It's been so long I've forgotten all of my combos. I did find an awesome site for color combinations a couple of weeks ago, I just had to email her to tell her how great I thought her site is. Just4Fun.blogspot.com.
Till later.
Hugs,

I really felt good with my last post, I wish I could have stayed on track.

Sassy has had some awesome challenges the last two weeks! Unfortunately I've stayed out of them due to lack of confidence. I have felt I couldn't due them justice, hopefully the next one I can get in on.

I decided to try a new challenge this week plus the Outlaws have started their new challenges so I'll be able to concentrate on them, they are awesome!

The down time has not gone to waste though. I've had the time to catch up on the digi's I've colored when I'm sick which I really needed to do.  I've been able to get 85% of them done. Plus I've been spending money ordering supplies. Who doesn't find they need things while finishing the cards? My biggest miss have been charms. I thought I had a lot but I found I need more as I did not have what I needed. I found a new site so I'm anxious to try them, I'll be sure to post how they do.

Till later this week I hope everyone has a great week.

I can't believe I'm acutally ahead a little this time around on the challenges! I'm glad things are getting back to normal. I do have a lot to do for Christmas though.
I've probably spoken too soon though as Sassy's is a little different this time around. I've printed everything off but I'm still not sure in which direction to go.
I went to a stamp class the other night and I had totally forgotten what to do, lol. It's been so long since I've done any stamping I was in temporary shock. I will admit it only took a couple minutes for everything to come back to me. I just prefer the digital as I feel I have more control over the coloring. Crazy right?

This is my second card for the Outlaws challenge.

When I saw these digi's my mother came to mind immediately. She always had coffee on for anyone who dropped in and she especially loved Christmas, so I had to combine them.

I colored the digi's in with copices, making two for each item so I could pop them out. I mounted them on my new die from Cherry Lynn called Sophia's Heart. I created a small saying and the words Merry Christmas, mounted a couple flatbacked holly leaves I had, and finally I used stickles on the pointsettia centers for a little bling.

The copics I used are as follows:
R20, 27, 29, 29
BV17
Y08, 18
G14, 16, 19
E51, 53, 55, 57

This is my first card for the Outlaws challenge.

I used my copics to color the digi, mounted it on one of Stampin' Ups doilys, added a piece of snowflake ribbon I had, and added a couple snowflakes from one of Martha Stewart's punch. I used stickles on the candle wick and the middle of the pointsettia to help give it a little bling. I still wasn't happy so I added some clear crystals I picked up at Joann's to the snowflake centers and on the ribbon.

Unfortuneately the purple in the paisley's dosen't really come through very good. I hope you like it.

The copic colors I used are as follows:
RV63, 66, 69, 91, 95, 99
Y04, 08, 18
C01, 03
100
R20, 29, 39
G03, 14, 19

This card is my entry for the Sassy Studio challenge. I had a hard time to get a clear image of the saying as you can see. I made the card a lot larger than I usually do but I felt this was needed here.

I colored the digi in with copics, mounted it on  Cherry Lynn's sophia's heart, added a saying from Gingers, added a bouquet of prima flowers along with a single rose on the saying, and finally I added some crystals to the top corners for some bling. I hope you like them.

The copics I used are as follows:
G09, 24, 28, 40
RV13
E00, 01, 11, 42, 43, 53, 55, 57
R20
YG0000, 00, 06, 13
Y15
BG01, 05, 09

Hi All,

A few people have asked me where I get my paper from. As I am a Creative Memories Consultant I use their product, some of it is ancient as it was unsold at the time (boy do I have a lot of that!). Paper goes a long ways for me as I make my own borders for scrapbooking. With our scrapbooks you don't need to use a piece of DSP for every page like you do with a lot of scrapbooks and this saves on paper. Plus I can always use the 4x6" for cards instead of photo mats.

Please feel free to follow the link on the side to view what they have currently, they change their lines every July, sometimes in February they will make adjustments.
