I really felt good with my last post, I wish I could have stayed on track.

Sassy has had some awesome challenges the last two weeks! Unfortunately I've stayed out of them due to lack of confidence. I have felt I couldn't due them justice, hopefully the next one I can get in on.

I decided to try a new challenge this week plus the Outlaws have started their new challenges so I'll be able to concentrate on them, they are awesome!

The down time has not gone to waste though. I've had the time to catch up on the digi's I've colored when I'm sick which I really needed to do.  I've been able to get 85% of them done. Plus I've been spending money ordering supplies. Who doesn't find they need things while finishing the cards? My biggest miss have been charms. I thought I had a lot but I found I need more as I did not have what I needed. I found a new site so I'm anxious to try them, I'll be sure to post how they do.

Till later this week I hope everyone has a great week.

I can't believe I'm acutally ahead a little this time around on the challenges! I'm glad things are getting back to normal. I do have a lot to do for Christmas though.
I've probably spoken too soon though as Sassy's is a little different this time around. I've printed everything off but I'm still not sure in which direction to go.
I went to a stamp class the other night and I had totally forgotten what to do, lol. It's been so long since I've done any stamping I was in temporary shock. I will admit it only took a couple minutes for everything to come back to me. I just prefer the digital as I feel I have more control over the coloring. Crazy right?

This is my second card for the Outlaws challenge.

When I saw these digi's my mother came to mind immediately. She always had coffee on for anyone who dropped in and she especially loved Christmas, so I had to combine them.

I colored the digi's in with copices, making two for each item so I could pop them out. I mounted them on my new die from Cherry Lynn called Sophia's Heart. I created a small saying and the words Merry Christmas, mounted a couple flatbacked holly leaves I had, and finally I used stickles on the pointsettia centers for a little bling.

The copics I used are as follows:
R20, 27, 29, 29
BV17
Y08, 18
G14, 16, 19
E51, 53, 55, 57

This is my first card for the Outlaws challenge.

I used my copics to color the digi, mounted it on one of Stampin' Ups doilys, added a piece of snowflake ribbon I had, and added a couple snowflakes from one of Martha Stewart's punch. I used stickles on the candle wick and the middle of the pointsettia to help give it a little bling. I still wasn't happy so I added some clear crystals I picked up at Joann's to the snowflake centers and on the ribbon.

Unfortuneately the purple in the paisley's dosen't really come through very good. I hope you like it.

The copic colors I used are as follows:
RV63, 66, 69, 91, 95, 99
Y04, 08, 18
C01, 03
100
R20, 29, 39
G03, 14, 19

This card is my entry for the Sassy Studio challenge. I had a hard time to get a clear image of the saying as you can see. I made the card a lot larger than I usually do but I felt this was needed here.

I colored the digi in with copics, mounted it on  Cherry Lynn's sophia's heart, added a saying from Gingers, added a bouquet of prima flowers along with a single rose on the saying, and finally I added some crystals to the top corners for some bling. I hope you like them.

The copics I used are as follows:
G09, 24, 28, 40
RV13
E00, 01, 11, 42, 43, 53, 55, 57

Hi All,

A few people have asked me where I get my paper from. As I am a Creative Memories Consultant I use their product, some of it is ancient as it was unsold at the time (boy do I have a lot of that!). Paper goes a long ways for me as I make my own borders for scrapbooking. With our scrapbooks you don't need to use a piece of DSP for every page like you do with a lot of scrapbooks and this saves on paper. Plus I can always use the 4x6" for cards instead of photo mats.

Please feel free to follow the link on the side to view what they have currently, they change their lines every July, sometimes in February they will make adjustments.

This is the second card I did for the Outlaws challenge. These are a new color combination for me and I'm not sure I like it. Maybe it's because it's so different.

I colored the cat in with copics before I used my snow marker and my black and brown puffy velvet markers just in case there was an area that showed through. I then used stickles on the tags and the cats eyes. Lastly I added a couple tree brads, a ribbon from my stash, and some green crystals for bling.

The copic colors I used are as follows:
N02, 08
R17, 29, 39
G09
E08, 09, 18, 51, 53
100

This is the first of two cards I did for the Outlaws challenge.
I colored him in with my copics, added a snowflake I made with Spellbinders Create a Flake 2 with a large clear crystal brad, added a piece of May Arts ribbon I bought from Kathy at http://stores.ebay.com/katheysattic, and finally I added stickles to the flower center, hat pom pom,  and the green leaves to stand out.

The copic colors I used are as follows:

YG00, 05, 13

E23, 25

I did this card for the challenge over to Sassy Studios. I appologize as I couldn't get a real clear picture for some reason. It looks a lot better in person and I'm real happy with it.
I colored them in with my copics, added a ribbon, and added some prima flowers and a pearl spray.  I hope you like it.

I did two different cards using these digi's, somehow I printed off duplicates so I just did them both. I hope you like them.

I did this card for the Sassy Studio challenge of a few weeks ago. I just love this sorcoress!
I printed off card stock I bought from With Wild Abandon; http://www.etsy.com/shop/withwildabandon?ref=seller_info  This is a great pack and I don't need anymore as there are 20 sheets in the pack. She has some really great sets over there.
I added some tulle ribbon I bought from Kathy at http://stores.ebay.com/katheysattic?_rdc=1
I cut out a purple doily (actually it's Cherry Lynn's Italian Flourish), I love this die and use it a lot.
I colored the sorcoress with my copics and mounted her last. I used a little smooch on the crystal to give it some shine.
Lastly I added a couple sparkly spiders and a Happy Halloween I did up. I hope you like it.

I've been "sick" again so I'm reallll late posting these cards and getting them up to the sites. I'm going to my doctor again this week so hopefully he can adjust the meds to deal with the pain. Maybe if I didn't have it daily it wouldn't be so bad when it really hits.

Anyways, enough about my problems. Lets get on to the reason you are here. I did get some coloring done when I was layed up but boy can you tell! I really can't do much when my hand gets the shakes. I was able on a couple light days to follow what was going on for a little while. There were so many beautiful cards posted all around. Here are my late contributions.

This is my card for the Sassy challenge this week. I thought this digi was awesome, I just loved the costume Sassy used.
I colored her with copics (I just wish I had made her larger), used a sketch I made from a scrapbooking template, added one of Paulette's great sayings from TLC Creations, used another of my new ribbons for Kathy's, http://stores.ebay.com/katheysattic?_rdc=1, added a black cat and some flowers. I hope you like it.

This is the second card I made for the Outlaws digi challenge, I'm also entering it  for Twisted Thursday's Bingo challenge.
I just love this little girl dancing by Anne Fenton at Anne's  Digital Designs. I colored her with copics, used an old Outlaw sketch, added some flowers, added small pearls at her ear and throat, and finally I made a tag to go with it. I hope you like it.

This is my first card for the Outlaws challenge. I saw this sketch on a site I had visited and I thought I would try it.
I'm upset with this background cardstock I bought at Jo-Ann's!! Most of the card stock has a texture which looks like glitter but it isn't so you don't have to deal with the mess. It was the last pack they had and I really like the paper but it doesn't show up good on the pc. The leaves on this paper has a fine gold outline which separated the leaves and give them a raised look.
I colored her with copics, added small pearls all around her, and added this lovely ribbon I got from Kathy over at Ebay (she has a tone of ribbon she sells cheap by the yard). I was real happy with this ribbon as it's a lot thicker and softer than it looks!
Following is Kathy's link if anyone is interested. I love the May Arts ribbon but I'd never use a whole spool, believe me I have two already to use up! She is a sweetheart and usually ships within 2 days. http://stores.ebay.com/katheysattic?_rdc=1
The copics I used are as follows:
E00, 01, 11, 35, 37, 39, 53, 55, 57

This is the second card I did for the CDAC challenge from Patty's Creations.
I colored the digi with copics, added a few crystals for bling, added a saying I got at TLC Creations, and finally I did a fake stitching.
The colors I used are as follows:

100
N1
Y08
G24, 12, 21, 24, 28, 29, 40
E11, 13, 15

This is my first card for the current challenge at CDAC, the digi is from Digi Stamps 4 Joy.
I'm also going to enter it in Digi Stamps 4 Joy's current challenge for anything goes.
I love how the digi came out, a lot better than I thought I was doing. I'm really surprised about the background paper, it's not showing up all that well. The white has a really heavy glimmer, almost a glitter, very pretty.
I colored the digi with copics, and added some jewels for bling.
The colors I used are as follows:
E13,, 15, 17, 23, 25, 27
R12, 14, 17

I have been real slow getting things done lately. No matter how hard I tried I slipped back into the double phnemonia. It takes so much out of me and then I have to catch up. I wanted to get these cards up so I will at least have one thing done, I'd just finished them when I got bad. They've taken me off that symbercort now so hopefully I'll do better this winter. Since they put me on it I've had one attack after another, I told her I was done with it as it's a side effect so she didn't really have any choice. All these problems because of that lyrica! Rediculous.
Anyways, here are the cards.. I hope you like them.

This is the last card I did for the Sassy Studio challenge. As you can see I've really been playing around with sketch's. I'm real happy with it.
I colored her in with copics (I think I used too dark of a color over her eyes for eye shadow), added three nice flowers I had, used three brads I had as centers for the flowers, placed a ribbon, added a little saying I typed up, added pearls to her ear and neck, set her on the card stock with dimensionals, and finally I used my white pen to write on the "blackboard".
The colors I used are as follows:
E31, 35, 39, 00, 01, 11, 09, 18
C00
100
G17
BG45, 000, 49
R46

I did this card for the challenge over to Sassy Studios. I had fun with her.
I colored her in with copics, cut her out, used my yellow spica on her dress buttons, added small pearls, a couple daisy's I had, used large brads on the flower centers, and added a couple pearl things for more bling.
I hope you like her.
The copic colors I used are as follows:
E00, 01, 11, 25, 27, 81
G17
R24
Y00, 13, 15
RV000, 14, 19, 63, 69, 66
YG0000, 05, 13

I did this card for the challenge over to Sassy Studios. This is the first card I did using a different layout so I hope you like it.
I colored her in with copics, added a saying from TLC Creations, added a wide ribbon on the bottom, then added a two-tone double ribbon, and finally added some candies to finish.
The copic colors are as follows:
R02, 24
E00, 21, 11, 23, 27, 45
YG09
YR18, 15, 30, 12, 20, 21
Before I get too far I want to thank everyone who let me know about the sign in thing, I have fixed it so you won't have  to go through all that again. I just hate them things!

This is my second card for the Outlaw's challenge, isn't he just soo cute?
I kept him simple by adding ribbon and brads so the person who gets him can use him as they please. Oh yeah, I did add google eyes to him, he just seemed to be crying out for them.
I colored them with copics and added some stickles to the pumpking balloon so his shadows would stand out more. The colors I used are as follows:
R32
BV0000, 04, 08
N00, 05, 07
YG63, 91, 95
E42, 44
YR18, 20, 24

This is the first of the two digi's for the Outlaw's challenge, the girls outdid themselves this challenge.
The minute I saw this digi I started to laugh, it reminded me so much of my youngest son as he was always helping my father with building roads, working in the sand pit, the pastures, or something.
I teamed him up with a tool box I had purchased over to Cuddly Buddy as they seemed to go together so well and added some brads I had. I hope you like him.
I colored him in with copics as follows:
BG10
R02, 27
G7
E11, 42, 33, 35, 81, 47, 44, 01, 13, 30, 27
Y11, 15, 19
C01, 03, 05, 07, 10
B34, 39, 37, 91, 97, 99

I have fallen in love with Grand9Creations!! When I saw this one I just new I had to do a card with it. It's a simple card as I just added ribbon, a fall clip, and topped it off with four candies. It's just such a cute design with the fairy peaking around the pumpkin.
I hope you like it.

I was just messing in my folder when I happened upon my little scraps file. I alway save their freebies and by looking in my file I had  all these items but the witch I had gotten from Wonder Strange. I couldn't believe it when I was looking at them and I couldn't help but do this card.
I kept the moon and bats small, shrunk the witch on the broom so she would look even further away, shrunk the cat to sit next to the cauldren, shrunk the little kitty to fit on the cauldren, and then printed off two of the cauldrens so I could pop the top one with dimensions. I liked this hat better than the one which came with the witch so I just shrunk it to fit on her head. The witch just fit this card with the look on her face and holding the eye in her hand like she's going to drop it into the cauldren.
The only coloring I had to do was the witch, although I did add yellow stickle eyes to the cat. I colored her with my copics. I used the following:
G0000, 14
R02
100
E01, 11, 79
YR000, 09, 68
V01, 06, 09
W03, 07, 09

Tuesday, September 18, 2012

It's been a quick few weeks, I haven't had much time to do much between being sick and babysitting for the girl next door. I have been coloring with the girls though so I'm not totally behind in my challenges, just the finishing and posting left. I'm hoping to be able to get the rest done tomorrow. I've got a tone of digi's ready to be mounted besides my challenges but I'll hold off on them til later.

I'm trying to get enough cards done so I can put boxes together for Christmas cards.

I've been looking at all the beautiful cards that are showing up with the flowers on them. I broke down and ordered some but I haven't found a card to use them on yet. There must be other flowers out there besided Prima, I'll have to check on that. It would be one thing if the card was for/from me but I am giving them away as gifts so they will be given to people I don't even know. Does this make sense? I just don't want to spend $100 or so on just one box as a gift, I have seven to do.

I need to get going though, I want to get some dsp, I need something different from what I have on hand. I think this time I'll buy the digital paper. It seems to be getting prettier.

This is the card I did for cdac's challenge. I used Lynn's idea over to Spyder on this card, I thought it fit for it. I printed off two digi's, colored one in full with my copics, colored the other one in the spots I wanted to stand out, and then cut the small colored area out. I used a glitter card stock for the base, mounted the image I colored in full and added a corner punch, and finally mounted the areas I had cut out of the second digi. I mounted them using dimensionals so they would pop. It doesn't show on here too good but in person it looks really good. The areas I popped are the cat and pumpkin. Lastly I added a ribbon and stickles to the cats eyes. I hope you like him.
The colors I used are as follows:
100
N02, 04, 06
YR000, 12, 14
E42, 33, 35, 37, 39, 27
R02

I did this card for the challenge over to CDAC. I colored it in with my copics, mounted it under some brown card stock I had sprayed with Tattered Anges coffee shop, added a few little star fish and a crab I had, and topped it off with a saying from Ginger's.
The colors I used are as follows:
R39, 46, 20
YR09, 16, 20
B79, 66, 63

I've never done koi before so I had to do a goggle search to see what they looked like. I colored them in with my copics and added a few lilac crystals  for bling. I didn't color the water in as the first one I did I did color it but I prefer it uncolored. It was just too blue/green.
The copics I used are as follows:

BG10
N01, 04
YG06
RV14, 19. 13
B09, 12, 06

I colored him in with my copics, I wanted him to really pop of the card so I used a a variation of shaded from the dsp. I used a wide ribbon to wrap the card stock with and used dimensionals to mount him. I left him pretty well unadorned as I am using him as a note card.

I had fun doing up Mandy for the challenge over to Sassy Studios. I colored her in with my copics, cut her out so I could mount her with dimensionals, used gold glitter for the earings, necklace and green on her body, added ribbons, and finaly I added pearls to make it look like she had thrown them out. I also used pearls for her necklace.
The following copics I used are as follows:
E18, 15, 00
G17
R14
E01, 11, 00, R20
E43, 42, 40

This is my first steam punk and I am so happy with her!! She came out so much better than I thought.
I got the digi from mayzart studios and I lucked out when I came across dezianworld, she has the best steam punk things I've found!! I hope you like Zipha as much as I do. I did use dark colors in the back because I wanted her to pop.
I colored her in my copics, used creative memories metalic silver pen for the buckles, used dimensionals to mount her so she would pop more, and finally I used a few crystals for bling.
The copics I used are as follows:
E47, 44, 40, E00, 01, 11

Monday, August 27, 2012

I've been busy visiting others web sites and viewing their old posts this weekend to see what I could find for ideas and learn new techniques. I've seen many things I'm waiting to try.

I'm a little confused about the freebies. After viewing a couple sites I'm not sure if the freebies are theirs or someone elses. What really gets me is that they have on their blogs to give them credit, not post the freebies on the net for others, etc., etc. Yet from what I can see they are in violation of the code themselves.  I don't even dare to post a card I made with a digi from someone that's not a challenge!! I'm just really confused.

I did get a few nice digi's this week for the challenges and I'm waiting to see what I'm going to get from CDAC. I got most of  them colored today so I'm on track so far to posting everything Thursday.

I guess I'm most anxious to  try the flower techniques. I think I'm going to place an order for some ribbon so I can try at least one of the techniques. I've watched so many different web cams this weekend to learn. I love the roses on the cards and I want to be able to use them myself.

Til next time.

I did this card for the Sassy challenge, I know I'm a week late. Yet I'm reall happy with the way it came out. This is the first time I've ever done hair like this so it was a new techneque for me to try. I was originally just going to use flower soft so I'm extremely happy with the choice I made.

I colored her in with my copics, used dimensionals to pop her up, mounted her on a piece of suede card stock, added a saying from Giner's House, and finally I added large blue crystals for bling. I hope you like her.

The copics I used are as follows:

I really wanted flowers but I'm low on them so I used a lot of printed flowers I have to build one. I added a saying from Ginger's House to it. I just love the sayings I get from Gringer's and Paulette over at TLC!!

I colored her in with my copics, cut her out to help her pop more, mounted her on a doily, added the flower, saying, and a couple of pearls for added bling. I hope you like her.

The copics I used are as follows:
E00, E21, E23, R20, E47, E49, E43, G05, YG11, YG06.

This is the card I did for the Outlaws challenge.  I colored him in with my copics and added a saying I had from Giner's House. I kept it real simple as I made it for my oldest son who is my fisherman.
The copics I used are as follows:
BG49, BG23, Y28, G000, YG41, R29, B06, B04, B00, E00, E21, E23, G5, YG06, YG11, C01, C03, E47, E43, R46, R37, R000, and 100.
I have been real busy lately.

My oldest spent the weekend with me working on his cars. Needless to say I've spent the last three days cleaning up from him. I know I raised him better so I'm putting it down to being on the ground so much under the cars. My youngest spent Sunday with him helping to finish up.

The pup got a new home late Thursday night. I really miss him but I'm not missing the messes, I'm still trying to catch the house up to normal from him. I've been taking it room by room so I'm getting there, only another 4 to go, Yeah hah!!!

The cats are a lot more content and acting normal again. My AJ got over his upset from the change in a couple of days and is enjoying the quiet again which is good for him. He's just so old I need to do what's best for him while I have him. I don't think I'll try to put him through another one of our winters so I want him happy while he's here.

I'm real excited as I did a card for CDAC to use in one of the new challenges. This is the first time for me so I'm nervous about how it will be recieved. Needless to say I can't up load it yet as I have to wait for the challenge to come out.

Now to upload the other cards I did this weekend.

I thought she was a doll when I saw her. She's the only card I got done for this round in the Outlaw challenge though as I've been sick. I hope you like her.
I colored her in with my copics, added a doily, a tag that says smile, a couple punched butterflies, and two flowers with crystals for the centers.
The copic colors I used are as follows:
C0, G28, G17
E31, E53
Y02, Y08, Y00
V06, V01, V09
It's been a bad week for me. This cold went into my chest so I've had a hard time breathing. Needless  to say it also effects the nerves in my neck and I end up with the shakes on top of a lot of pain.
I was able to get two cards done, one for each challenge, thankfully because I was able to start them before I got so sick. I just finished them today though so I'm late for the Sassy challenge.
Here they are, I hope everyone likes them.

I've been playing around with skin tones. I'm never really happy with them, I just can't get the tone right.

Now the d--- pup thinks he can lay in the bathroom all the time. He just pushed on my shut off line for the toilet and the plactic piece broke that screws onto the tank. Hopefully between the voice mail and the IM my son can pick one up to drop off on his way home. Now I have a ton of laundry to do, my whole bathroom was soaked in just the few minutes it took me to find the noise when he came flying out of the hallway. Oh well, I'll add it to my list.

My son is a total doll. He just texted me to let me know he'll be here when he gets out of work.

I guess I need to get to the laundry so I can get back to working on the skin tones. I just didn't realize it was going to be so hard to do, lol.

I hope everyone else is having a better afternoon.

I've been busy just coloring as I have not had any good days. Today I pushed myself to get a few cards done. I have more digi's colored to put on cards than I'll probably ever get finished, lol. Oh well, maybe I'll use some on my scrapbook pages. Well my dogs are ready to come in and my cats are done being ignored so I guess I need to get to them. Have a good night.

I loved these strawberries when Angela posted them over at Crafting With Jack as a freebie in her new blog store. I colored them in with my copics. I wanted it to be a simple card so I didn't add a  lot of jazz to it, I just added a couple of pearls to the tag.

This is my second card for Sassy Studio's challenge. I knew just what I wanted to do when I first saw her.
I colored her with my copics, added a flower and a little saying from Ginger's House to top it off. It was a quick easy card to do. I'm real happy with the way it came out, I hope  you like it also.

I'm so bad, I forgot to list the colors I used. lol. Here they are.

I did this digi for Sassy Studio's challenge. I thought they were great and it's been so hot here.
I colored her with my copics, added a little tag and a flower. She was quick and easy but I like how it came out.

This is the second card I did for the challenge at Outlaws, Suzy. I wanted her to be colorful. I colored her in with my prismas, added stickles for her eye and on the balloons, and added jewels to her sandals and  necklace. I added some small pink flowers using jewels for the centers and added a ribbon.
I hope you like her.

This is the first card I did for the challenge at Outlaws, Roxanne.
I colored her in with my prismas and added pearls to her neck. The green metalic did not show up as good as I had hoped. I used the metalic penci for the ribbon at her waist, around her bodice, and for the headband. I tried to get out of my box with the challenge so I used a large flower with a brad for the center. Finally I added a ribbon. I hope you like her.

I want to send a huge THANK YOU to Anne Marie over to Splitcoasters for giving me the links and encouragement to try my very first dig with the copics I won over at CDAC.  I'm very happy with the way they came out especially on my first try.
The following are the colors I used:
G000, G09, G17 for the leaves. (I just wish I had more of an olive color.)
R39, R46, R81 for the roses.
I hope you like it.

I had so much fun doing this card. I want to send out a huge THANK YOU to Anne Marie over at Splitcoasters for giving me such wonderful links and encouragement on my roses which helped me to try this digi. This is the first person I have colored using the copics I won over to CDAC (& a few I bought to go with them). I am really happy with how she came out, especially on my first try.
These are the colors I used:
G07, G12, G17 for the grass.
E00, E01, E51 for her skin tone.
E21, E23, E25 on the guitar.
E08, E18 for her hair.
R46 for the hearts on the guitar.
V06, V09, V20 for her pants, t-shirt, and a bracelet.
RV000, RV04, RV13 for her overshirt and two bracelets.
I used stickles for some bling for her eyes, the bracelets, and the hearts on the guitar. I used a purple gem brad to hold the ribbon tag  that is holding a metal tag that says Happy.
I hope you like her as much as I do.
I've been trying to keep busy. I was able to color a lot with my pencils as they are so forgiving, now I just need to go over them with gamasol.

No idea why I've been hurting so much lately but I've finally been able to get a doctors appointment for next Thursday, hopefully he'll be able to help me. I have a good feeling he's going to tell me I need to wear my neckbrace again for awhile, I really hate that thing!! I have to admit it does help after awhile. It's not going to help my shoulder though, nor is it going to get rid of the shaking in my hands.

The shaking spells are coming on more frequently and lasting longer each time. I know it has to do with the nerve damage in my neck but I'm starting to get scared I won't be able to do any coloring. I have hundreds of digi's I've printed off to color when I have bad days to use in my scrapbooking. I wish someone would come up with a cure or something for my damage. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there that has this issue so you'd think they have something in the works.

I had fun doing her. The only thing that bothers me are her slippers, I used flower soft but it doesn't look like it in the upload. I used my prisma's to color her in and added a few rain drops for bling.

I just love this digi, it's my second card for the Outlaws challenge. I decided to color her in simply with my prismas. I added pearls around her, as earings, a bracelet, and for a necklace. Finally I added a satin/lace ribbon.

This is the first card for the Outlaw challenge. I love lily's but these won't grow up here for us, it doesn't get hot long enough. I colored them in with my poly's, added a ribbon, and a few dark purple jewels for bling.

This is my second card for the draw challenge at cdac. I colored him in with my prismas, added a ribbon, added a couple pewter brads, and wrote out a tag for him. I made it masculine for the old man.
